Thanks for checking out my online portfolio. Currently living and working in New York, I'm a seasoned, senior-level “digital hybrid” — a.k.a. Designer/Developer — an art director, graphic & web designer, and interactive developer in one package. What this means in a nutshell is that I can do almost everything. But just because I can doesn't mean I should; ergo, I'm narrowing my focus to doing smaller but more creatively rewarding projects. Having done hard time in the trenches of corporate advertising for over 15 years, I'm packing away the agency tap dance shoes and going it barefoot for a spell. The key is striking a balance between work and quality of life. 'Nuff said.

goco rebranding + website campaign
Formerly known as Spatality, this young but highly successful global spa and hospitality consultancy needed a complete makeover. Working with the Brand Experience Director and Marketing/Brand Communications Manager, we created the new GOCO brand identity concurrently with an overhaul of their existing website.
I was responsible for the life-cycle of the new site, which included information architecture and user experience (sitemap & wireframes), site concept design and layout, prototyping and front-end development. I was also instrumental in evolving the GOCO logo and establishing a foundational "look-and-feel" for its application across various touchpoints.

Let me make a few things clear: I don't have a blog. I don't have a Facebook profile. And I'm not on LinkedIn (although in these trying economic times I'm seriously considering establishing a LinkedIn profile). In all honesty, I got a little jaded by the proliferation of mundanity in various wall posts, tweets, blogs, yelps, yips, whines and grunts. Well, okay, so those last three are yet to become bona fide social networking buzzwords ... but you get the point.
What I do have is a website. Required for anyone in this industry and certainly frowned upon if caught schlepping around an actual (gasp!) portfolio, the professional URL is not only my bread-and-butter, it also serves as my journal, albeit abbreviated.
For now, this wee section awaits some AJAX hook into dare-I-say-it-a-future-blogspot, but in the meantime suffice it to say I won't be caught dead accumulating 1,000 new friends in my Google+ circles or playing “Angry Birds,” “Edge EX”or “I Am T-Pain” on my shiny new Apple® iPod Touch®.
